If your student is looking to live off campus this fall, but is not sure where to start looking, the Off Campus Living Fair is the place to go. Students can learn about off-campus properties at the fair on Wednesday, March 7 from 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM in the International Connections Lounge of the Arkansas Union. This fair, sponsored by Off-Campus Student Services, will not only showcase student-centered properties, but campus departments and off-campus agencies that are critical to commuter student success.

Properties at this fair are featured on offcampushousing.uark.edu. Representatives will be on hand to discuss pricing, lease terms, floor plan options, amenities, and more. This event is a great opportunity for students to explore many Northwest Arkansas housing options in one convenient location.

Campus departments including Parking and Transit, University Housing, and Chartwells will be in attendance to inform students on how to successfully make the transition to becoming an off-campus student. Chartwells offers meal plans for commuter students at a variety of meal amounts and price points.  Many Fayetteville community agencies will also be in attendance to assist students with questions regarding the off-campus living experience.

If your student is unable to attend the Off Campus Living Fair, housing options can always be viewed at offcampushousing.uark.edu, the official off-campus housing website for the University. On this website, students can filter through housing options, look for roommates, or post on discussion boards. As a parent, you can also create a log-in to view housing options.

Moving off campus can create a greater sense of independence and responsibility but can be stressful as well. OCC seeks to provide resources to help the transition with moving off campus.  The Off Campus Living Guide is another tool that can assist in easing this transition.  For more information about the Off Campus Living Fair, please contact OCCS at Sami Belford at iliveoff@uark.edu or 479-575-7351.
