Whether this is your first child to leave the nest or your last, seeing them go is never easy. Parent & Family Programs has developed a program, Letters from Home, to help you and your student with this transition and ease homesickness.
Letters from Home invites parents, family members, and friends to write and submit a letter to their University of Arkansas student through an online submission form. Letters are delivered to your student during the first two weeks of school, which is typically the toughest time during the transition.
Letters can be words of encouragement, opportunities for reflection, or pride and hopes for the next four years. The letters give you a great opportunity to share all of the things you want to say on move-in day.
To submit a letter, click here to fill out the form. The following information will be needed to deliver the letter to your student:
- Your student’s full name (first, middle, and last name)
- Your student’s University of Arkansas ID #
- Your student’s on-campus address (PMB #)
