If your student is looking to live off campus this fall, but is not sure where to start looking, the Off-Campus Living Fair is the place to go. Off-Campus Student Services (OCSS) will host the Off-Campus Living Fair on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM in the Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge.

The Living Fair will have properties that have partnered with OCSS as well as other resources that will be useful for students who live off campus, such as the City of Fayetteville, Legal Aid, Parking & Transit and more.  These resources are incredibly beneficial for students living off campus and give them the information they need to succeed.  Students will also have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes just by visiting the property tables!

If your student is not able to attend the Off-Campus Living Fair, they can always explore housing options at offcampushousing.uark.edu, the official off-campus housing website for the University.  Through the website, students can filter through housing options, look for roommates or post on the discussion boards.  Parents can also create a log-in to look through the housing options, but we encourage parents to help give their students the tools to succeed instead of doing it for them.

Moving off-campus can create a greater sense of independence and responsibility but can be stressful as well.  OCSS wants to provide as many resources as possible to help the transition with moving off campus.

The Off-Campus Living Fair is a great opportunity to find the perfect place to live next year.  If you have any questions regarding the Off-Campus Living Fair or the website, please contact OCSS at iliveoff@uark.edu or 479-575-7351.
